Latest Version #2

One of the things I so love about Neufeld’s material is how broad it goes – from helping me make sense of my children to myself to the world in general. One of the things I so love about our Seattle Neufeld Community is how deeply people take the material.

I have the great pleasure of sharing a poem with you from Jen Enich, a member of our SNC family. I am touched by her courage in sharing her vulnerability, her personal understanding of Neufeld’s ideas and her own creative expression that incorporates these ideas. I’m sure you will relate to what she expresses as well as enjoy and appreciate it as much as I do.

Latest Version #2

In my latest version of the truth
my children are fine.
His heart is soft,
She longs to be known,
He loves and loves and loves.

He will learn to read,
She will learn her times tables
He will outgrow untempered aggression.

In my latest version of the truth
I am in love
with my spouse — who we were
where we’ve been, who we’ve become,
what we long for, our striving to be good
and soft and what the other needs.

In my latest version of the truth
I write, I think, I learn, look and lead
and my latest version of the truth
is revealed.
